Creaking interior plastics

My 550 mile car has developed some creaking plastics. The top of the driver's door where I rest my arm creaks when I go around corners and lean onto it a little, as does the plastics on the central pillar where the seat belt comes out. I cannot help but slightly lean on these areas when cornering! Also the centre console creaks when I lean into that with my left leg whilst cornering in the opposite direction.

Does anybody else's XC40 suffer from creaking plastics or like my uncomfortable seat base is it just mine?

All plastics solid with absolutely no noise after 15k miles. Sounds like you're a tight fit in the car?

17k miles in 18 months in my C40, no creaking

3 years and 23,000 miles so far. Sometimes a bit of creaking from the sunroof but otherwise all good.

Another thread troll who can't bear anyone criticising his car. Well suck it up buttercup, my XC40 has some bad flaws. Having said that, I haven't complained about half the stuff on that list you and your buddy have compiled.

My main gripes have been:
MPG.
Creaking door plastics.
Cruise control (which IS rubbish).
Rock hard seat base
Road noise (which might be tyre noise)
The car does rock from side to side when traversing bumps far more than any car has done previously.

I couldn't get the auto tailgate lift to work consistently but it does now. Some vids on YT said to kick one's foot underneath the 'V' of the Volvo badge but it works every single time if you kick under the middle of the bumper.

The software 'update' removed a couple of things I was happy with such as the journey ETA from the driver's display but this was a trivial grievance.

The lack of a proper petrol cap is also a trivial grievance.

The carpet mats ARE poor. The material is cheap as chips but the main issue is the floor coverage of the driver's mat. It's the size of a postage stamp!

So far as I'm aware I haven't complained about anything else and heck, if I have then so what. It's a £40k car with some pretty disappointing flaws IME.

If you have only done 550 miles I’m guessing you have not had the car that long? If so, and you are unhappy, complain to dealer, let them sort the issues. If no improvement, look to reject the vehicle…if you can.
