Is this carpet bulge normal?

I've just noticed this bulge in the passenger side front footwell carpet. It doesn't look like it should be there to me so I'm just asking if others have the same?

Ours doesn't have it. The EV may be different. The bonnet release on ours is on the drivers side but the plastic moulding looks just the same as yours but without the release handle.

That doesn’t seem normal. There’s no such bulge next to the front seats in my car.

It's probably just been rucked up by someone's feet,there's not a lot of carpet under the trim,have you tried just feeding it back under the trim ?

The bulge has been there from day one. I agree that it's almost certainly a badly fitted carpet but I cannot manage to correct it with my fingers.
