Hi everyone,
I'm considering changing my current car which has some equity in it and looking at the XC40 Black Edition as they have a Black Friday sale event running until tomorrow.
I'd be interested to hear the thoughts/opinions of other XC40 Black Edition owners
Thanks in advance

Thanks Eugen61, what was the issue/problem with 20' wheels?
It’s a matter of personal preference. For me, 20” wheels result in a harsher ride, given the conditions of the roads I drive on. However, there are other forum members who are satisfied with their 20” wheels. The best approach would be to test drive the XC40 equipped with 20” wheels to determine how it feels for you.

Thanks Eugen61, I'm going to visit my local dealership tomorrow to have a look at different models.
I welcome the thoughts of any other Black Edition owners or XC40 owners in general. Most of the feedback I have from people who own Volvo's is positive.

Where I live I hesitate to call them roads and the 20" rims are fine. The tyres are 45 profile so still quite a bit of tyre wall to absorb potholes. And it does improve the handling a little.

I did consider the black edition for a second, but having just traded in a black car, I decided I no longer wanted the hassle of keeping a black car clean and scratch free. No issue with 20 inch wheels on my XC40 Ultra, but not a fan of the all black wheels on the black edition and preferred the Ultra wheels..
Black cars do look fantastic when clean and I would not try to persuade you not to get a black edition, if the colour appeals, I think it then becomes a question of B3 or B4

We replaced our 2024 XC40 Twin on 19" wheels with a 2025 EX40 Black Edition Twin on 20". We haven't noticed any difference in the ride, and I don't think that the Danish roads are in a better condition than UK's.
But one thing that caught me by surprise, and that I only noticed on the day of delivery, is that the tires on the 2025 model are not all-season. So we had to spend €1500 on new all season tires.

Thanks, I've previously had black cars, I know they're a pain to keep clean, but they do look amazing when they are!! Surely the B4 to have a little more oomph!!FMIB wrote: ↑Tue Dec 03, 2024 5:18 pm I did consider the black edition for a second, but having just traded in a black car, I decided I no longer wanted the hassle of keeping a black car clean and scratch free.
