Cabin Temperature Display
Robert Dyas do a discrete temperature guage. Comes with a foot/hook. I used it when my a/c went weird. I had an S80 and was able to attach it to the passenger seat coat hook button. Helped to prove to Volvo's mechanic that the external temperature sensor was way off when they wouldn't believe me!
That's 60 in around November! The sensor (passenger door mirror) decided to play silly buggers. I think this was my S60 not the S80. Because the car decided that it was very hot outside the a/c would only blow cold. Very cold! Volvo stated that the cabin temperature was controlled by the internal monitor and "nothing to do with the outside temperature" !
I made them change the mirror module......lo and behold the a/c worked perfectly for the next few years!
Sometimes you have to go outside the box.

But after the car has run for a while it'll be the Climate Control temperature set and displayed on the centre console. So a separate Third display would only say the same except for initial entry to the car, when the inside temperature will be closer to the external temperature which the car also displays.

Every radiator, central thermostat, about 8 !
How do you know what temperature is in the car? My car showed the outside temperature as 60 when it was just 5 degrees. The a/c seemingly tried to bring the temperature down by running cold even when the heating was available to heat the cabin. The climate control just didn't synchronize.

It is likely the outside temperature shown on the driver's display is derived from meteorological data, combined with the GPS location of the car.Spike56 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 29, 2024 11:16 pm Every radiator, central thermostat, about 8 !
