As far as I can tell Android Auto doesn't make the car go quicker or round corners better. So not sure what i need it for....

Excellent. I commented on here before how I was disappointed that the station art was not available.

I really want the DAB radio voice selection to work. When I bought the car it did and now Volvo has removed it from the manual so they obviously can't get it to work reliably? It really shouldn't be allowed to remove features without recompense. This was a key feature for me as I have limited use of my left hand fingers and I find it almost impossible to select the tiny items on the screen. The previous car had nice big icons instead of a list, much much better.

Hello,
Has anyone received the OTA update yet? US users reported the SW update rolling out for their cars 3 days ago.

The voice activation for the DAB radio is still hopeless with 3.3.16. Whilst waiting in a car park I found out that it will play FM versions of stations, but you have to say exactly the right name for it - e.g. "OK Google, play BBC R4". If the radio app is set to merge FM/DAB, and DAB is available, then this will play the DAB version, but if FM and DAB are split, then the FM version plays - but anything that is DAB-specific needs to be manually selected. It is possible to "swipe" the station picture if showing radio full-screen to change channels, or you can use the left/right arrows on the right-hand-side of the steering wheel to move between favourite stations. Therefore, one way of getting to a preset DAB station you want to play without going through the app is to store it as a favourite, ask google to play a saved station that's available on FM, then use the steering wheel cursor control to move to the station you want - bit of a bodge, but that's the best I can think of at the moment... The up/down controls do volume just in case anyone isn't aware of this.

Thanks, I do use the steering wheel controls plus I have reduced my favourite list so that scrolling through isn't so much of a pain. It just seems like such a simple thing to get working correctly. I have fed back to Volvo on several occasions asking for a more accessible radio interface with the option to display the favourites in a large icon format as well as the current list format but no luck yet.
