Off road mode
Now the snow is upon us I thought it would be a good time to ask if the off road mode makes any difference to a fwd car. I have read the online manual and I says about increased traction. Does this mean it starts off in a higher gear or changes up at very low revs or something else. Is it worth using.

Off-road mode will tweak ESP/ESC to allow more grip during traction. It’s also useful for descending steep, slippery slopes, it maintains engine brake automatically. As stated in the manual, off-road mode works only up to 20 mph, exceeding this speed will automatically deactivate it

Here is a mega test of 15 subcompact SUVs conducted by the respectable km.77 Spanish team, among which XC40 B3 was 3th lowest ranked, especially on Off road. Very disappointing results overall….
