Anyone got experience of Kia 7 year warranty? The Sportage seems decent enough.

Thanks Stovo, and on your kind and generous post, and soon not to be driving a Volvo, think its time I removed myself from this forum. Wish you all the very best, and to those who have issues/ delays, I do hope you get sorted very soon.
I wonder when the next resurrection will be

Going back to Warranties; my neighbour recently had the infotainment screen fail on their 2018 BMW 5 Series, cost £3500 to replace. It appears it would be covered by a Kia Warranty but not a Toyota warranty. Clearly with Volvo and most other manufacturers you're on your own too at that age.

you'd think if Kia can provide a 7 year warranty that now Volvo are on board with Gealey that its about time they had a little more faith and went to a 4 or 5 year warranty...all be it if you had to have a main dealer service i'm sure it would be well received by the motoring industry and help with their sales.

Absolutely. The US and elsewhere get recalls for things we don't and of course there is the lemon law. We seem to be far more at the mercy of the manufacturers in the UK.
Didn't realise until the other day when doing a search that the 3 year/60k. warranty is said to be an EU directive and unsurprisingly most manufacturers have gone for the cheaper option.

With my previous car the drivers display started playing up out of warranty, it went completely blank but after first postponing a dealer visit when it started working again and finally cancelling completely it sorted itself out. Gawd knows how much to fix which was part of the reason for changing - no way am I keeping this one out of warranty!
