If you call the relatively small Volvo XC40 an
expensive car, what is an XC90 then ? Or any car from a premium car maker ?
£40k to me is an expensive car. I never said that it was THE most expensive car. It's way noisier than my old £10k cheaper car if that helps.
Well, I guess you’ve made a serious mistake buying a Volvo XC40 : the car is clearly not the right choice for you. The good news is that you will have zero trouble selling the car for a good price.
I like a lot of things about it. The mpg is lousy though, as is the road noise and basic cruise control system. Oh and the driver's fitted mat which is the size of a postage stamp.

I guess the moral of the story is a decent test drive

I was beginning to wonder if I'd actually bought a Volvo XC40! I hadn't really noticed but the drivers mat is a bit small, does the job for me though. Can always get the Volvo all weather mats for winter etc. or there's plenty of options if you Google.
There still isn't anything I'd rather have than an XC40 at the moment for the money.

I guess everyone has different opinions and standards, but for me the XC40 is one of the best SUv’s on the market, when compared to its direct competitors. Yes it has its faults, but there are very few vehicles (if any) that haven’t. I no longer have the XC40 as changed for a C40, which 3 months into ownership has been in the main, outstanding . Will give a more detailed description of experience at a later date.

Does the driver's side all weather rubber mat have more coverage than the carpet version?
