Only done sub 7k in the car, mainly local knocking around.
Just back from Centre Val de Loire where it did 1500 fully loaded, with some nice steady runs for a change.
Overall ave now 36.7mpg, with the journal showing 46.8 on one stretch.
Colour me easily pleased. But happy with that. Is it typical for a still new (ish) 2 Lt petrol?
B4 fuel consumption
Just got back home (Czech Republic) from a road trip to Istria, Slovenia, Trieste and the Italian and Austrian Alps, about 2000 km in total, with a lot of pleasurable mountain and coastal meandering as well as long 120-130 km/h motorway stretches. The car (B4, took delivery early July) behaved impeccably throughout, and I got 6.1 l/100 km for the whole trip, which translates to 46 UK mpg. The trip computer reading tallies with my own calculations based on how much petrol I put in. I was just driving normally, which for me means calmly, with a light foot and without any stress, but still getting a healthy move on and not obsessing too much about fuel economy. I'm mighty pleased with that, seems like the mild hybrid is doing its job very capably I noticed that longish and frequent periods of motorway coasting (when the engine switches itself off) seem to make quite a difference.
I have T4 FWD and my fuel consumption on the same type of journey and driving style is 1.5 L / 100km higher. The newer mild-hybrid engines are indeed less frugal than the classical turbo ones.
So you're getting 7.6 l/100 km with the T4 compared to my 6.1 with the B4? That's quite a difference if we're comparing similar journey types and driving styles, though even 7.6 isn't terrible for a 2-litre engine pulling not the lightest car. With classical turbos, fuel economy tends to be ultra sensitive to driving style.

Have had up to 48.6 on a long run. My app says 39.7 0ver 4437 miles. B4AWD 22 model, just over a year old. Delighted with these figures but I drive with a very light foot.

Regular get mid-50's on a run from a B4 FWD - needs a light foot to get the best out of them though
