Are you using wireless adaptor or cable to connect to Apple Carplay? Don’t know which adapter is the best one.

Just updated and got CarPlay - finally! The screen looks different - although it is still full screen. Maybe there are different modes. Will need to play around with it a bit more. Not wireless - not a big deal, although goes back on a Volvo promise. But seems to be working - got Siri to play the correct music first time around (have not been using Siri on my iPhone until now). Projected range is also a bit higher - not sure if it has anything to to do with update.

Pity it's a wired connection not Bluetooth for CarPlay. Also, does Google Maps on CarPlay give you the same charge points for EV?

Still baffles me why Volvo have been about 8 years behind every other car manufacture.....

Anyone know if the older versions that we had to pay for as an extra will update to use full screen?!

Apple CarPlay on Sensus was never supposed to work on portrait mode and I have no expectation of Volvo changing the 7 years old legacy system. But it can be done when the car manufacturer is really listening to customer demand:

Also done the update, it looks really cool tho. I am sure there will be more updates coming in to improve the experience, it’s a pity that only wired connection, but hopefully in future it will have wireless connection to car play! Btw does any one think the connection using usb-c is not very well? When I slightly moved my phone, it lost the connection not sure if it’s the cable or the USB portal… btw I can have my “Waze” navigation via car play, so much better than Google or apple map
