Thanks for the reply. Looks like that is the way it is now but does not really make sense to me especially when it tells you to press the brake pedal.
I cannot see the problem with pressing the brake pedal and then the start button while the brake pedal is pressed (same as a normal start) and then the car would be ready to drive. To turn it off and then start it again is just shortening the life of the starter motor.

I press the brake pedal and a message comes up saying to press the start button which I do. The display comes on for a couple of seconds with all the warning lights but no speed, map or drive modes . After a couple of seconds it all goes off again.
Personally, I let the car finish and shut down. Then get in and start the car. It's worked every time ( 🤞🏻)

Mine simply Starts as expected when running on Remote Start. Holding Foot on Brake and one press of the Start Button and it reverts to normal operation. I suggest that if yours doesn't then it needs attention.

I've never tried mine yet but with the recent spell of freezing weather I may well do. What's the procedure for activating the heated front and rear screens and the heating etc.

Edit: I see from the aforementioned link that various things are started automatically. Does this include the heared screen?

Thanks.

You set the options in the Climate menu if I recall correctly

JFDIT is correct...you set what you want to come on on the menu then whatever is preset there activates with the app start.
So for example when i press remote start the driver seat comes on at level 1 steering wheel level 1 and front and back screens both come on.
what you have to remember is every time you get in the car while these settings are selected and the temperature is less than 10 degrees these will automatically activate. Mine has been set like this for so long that i remember to turn off what i don't need....like when i get it out of garage i don't need the front and rear screen to be active so i just click em off. If you wanted the passenger seat to heat with remote start you need to select this on the climate screen so the wife don't get a cold bum though ha ha. Its easy once you get used to it and its the same setup in the android car as it was with my sensus car. I can honestly say i am the envy of many workmates on a cold frosty morning when we are off for a shower after a night shift....as i just press my phone as walking into the shower block. Its one of the reasons that has kept my loyalty to the brand. The addition of heated steering wheel seemed a gimmick when i ordered this car but i can honestly say its a very welcome addition for me in any case. Stick with it guys...because once you get the hang of it it really is a fantastic innovation.

I've really missed the heated screen this last week on the XC60. I wouldn't buy a car now without a heated screen and steering wheel!
