Hello,
Picked up the car on Friday and absolutely loving it. Trying all the toys but having one issue. On Monday morning the windscreen was frozen so I thought an ideal time to test the remote start. All worked as expected and it was lovely to enter a warmed up car. The problem I have is according to the manual you push the foot pedal and then the start button to acknowledge you are in the car (as normal starting) and you can then select drive and away you go.
When I do that the fan speed in the car drops and the drivers screen comes up like you have stopped the engine. After a couple of seconds it all returns to how it was and you cannot drive. The only thing that seems to work is pushing the button without the brake pedal which turns the car off and then I start the car as normal. Is this correct? Please let me know where I am going wrong.

Foot on brake and quick press of start button, when you get in car after remote start, should come up on dash to say this, after 3 remote starts ( I think it's 3 ) you have too start it as normal once, may be your pressing start button too long and it's turning off.

Thanks. That is what I was trying. I have tried a short press and a long press. The car turns off by pressing the button without the foot pedal but at the moment it seems to be to only way I can get around the issue. I shall have another go. Is there a message that comes up on the display if you have been successful?

I still cannot get my head around this. Just to be clear, when I enter the car the engine is running as it has not timed out yet. Is this ok. I press the brake pedal and a message comes up saying to press the start button which I do. The display comes on for a couple of seconds with all the warning lights but no speed, map or drive modes . After a couple of seconds it all goes off again.

Mine, a*** on the seat, brake pedal, put into drive or reverse, and away you go. Still look for a button to press after 3 months of ownership.

Same here, have used the remote start at least four times now. Foot on pedal, press the button as instructed. Nada!
Each time have had to switch car off then start as normal
