I've taken my Reg number off retention and added it to my new car, the Car App still shows the original reg, anyone know how I go about changing it, might just be something simple I'm not seeing

I think you're need to contact Volvo customer care/contact centre.

Exactly what ChrisLF said. Do an online chat via the Volvo app. I had to do the same when transfering my reg over. Sorted within 5 mins.

Twice I've had an online chat with them via the App, sent photos of my V5c and they still haven't changed my reg number over, getting a bit fed up with then now, back onto them again ........

I scanned my “replacement V5” in to a PDF Document and sent it to Volvo via WhatsApp and the change was made there and then. It took a “forced restart” of the Volvo Cars app for the registration plate change to take effect.

Well worth having a chat to Volvo UK once normality returns on January 6th.

I wondered about that, how do I perform a 'forced restart, I won't lose my journey data will I ?

Started another 'Chat' through the App this morning, advised to close and re-open the App and it was done !
