I've done over 30k miles in a MY21 and MY24 XC40 and never had a misfire. I've occasionally filled up with Premium fuels but mostly whatever's available until recently. For the last few months I've been using only Premium fuel from Shell, Esso and Tesco Momentum which I believe comes from Shell. In fact mostly Momentum (99RON) as it's the closest to me. Since using the decent stuff there has been a noticeable improvement in performance, especially in pickup when overtaking, so that's all I'll be using now.

Such a shame that Volvo couldn't fix your ongoing issues. me personally and only because this is how i am would have kicked off big time at your dealers in front of other customers if necessary but i suspect you will have done something along these lines anyway. Shame they didn't say take your car off you for a few weeks and give you a loan car while someone at the dealership used yours as their daily and then when they had the problems hopefully whoever was driving could remedy it. Sadly its the state of modern car ownership now that if you have a problem and take it in and they plug it in and no faults show up that they just shrug their shoulders. I remember the days of my uncle holding a large screwdriver on the engine block and against his ear and he could diagnose why a car was running " lumpy" etc etc.
