I did a search on this but couldn't find anything, so hope this may help others.

just took delivery of a MY25 model and had DVR dashcam fitted by dealer.
I downloaded the app to an iPhone15.
Phone discovered the DVR network but could not connect the camera.
Back to dealer and a helpful service person managed to connect to his iPhone, so that seemed odd.

Spent a long time messing around and researching and then I suddenly realised that my AvastOne antivirus on the phone also operates a VPN.
Once I had turned this off in the Avast App, the phone managed to find the camera.

As I say, I just hope this may be of use to others.

Glad you got it sorted, all this technology is becoming more of a hinderance than help

Interesting, we're thinking of getting the dash cam fitted. Would be interesting to hear how you get on with it.
Thanks

It was a cost decision.
Dashcam = £500+
Potential non-fault accident + inconvenience + time spent in getting repair + dealing with insurers = more than £500+ ?

UPDATE: (Sorry, but also posted this on another thread about dash cams) So far all is well with the dash cam and it is certainly neat and unobtrusive.
Beware - if you happen to say anything while driving that sounds vaguely like "take photo" you will hear a shutter sound and the dash cam will indeed do just that.
I had forgotten about that feature and we 're-discovered' it on a drive with my grandchildren - much to their joy when I realise after initially I couldn't work out what that click noise was!! (The old boy is losing it!!!)

Just got a Volvo DVR Dashcam fitted and had to struggle for hours to understand how the camera and DVR app all worked, communicated and downloaded. Poor instructions translated by non-English speaker, so it was all trial and error.
Most issues now solved, but I cannot get the rear view camera recording to appear. Instructions show a “shift” button to be pressed during “Real Time” ???🤔🤔. It requires a microscope to reveal the tiny shift icon in the printed instructions.
I have totally failed to find this button in the app when playing the video playback while phone is connected to the dash cam.
“Real Time” to me means while the car is moving and the camera recording, which seems nonsensical
Any suggestions welcome from any victim of this dashcam 😢
