Send destination from phone to XC40 sat nav?

Tried the Volvo app map, doesn't seem to do anything other than show cars current location. Tried Google maps, signed in to same account in the car, and don't seem able to send location to car. Any suggestions/education for a Volvo 2025 newbie?

Works fine with Sensus. Drop a pin on the map in the app and you get a “send to car” button.
Probably yet another feature that doesn’t work in AAOS…

As long as the car uses the same Google account as the device that you are using Google Maps on then you get a send to XC40 option after planning a route on the device. Works fine with AAOS cars.

Mine works exactly as gedger described. Assuming you are correctly logged into your Google account on both devices then it's worth checking your Privacy Settings. Have a look in the App under Account. They are all best set to ON. If any are OFF then you have to update them in the Vehicle not the App.

Having had both I can say Sensus navigation was awful compared to AAOS Google maps.

Works fine for me on aaos. I had to install Chrome beta to the car originally for it to work. That was a while ago so might have been replaced by a subsequent update but worth a go.

Chrome beta was not needed for me, well I've never installed it anyway....

Only provided you are signed into the same Google account

Why on earth , if you phone is paired to the vehicle anyway, or through the Volvo app you cant send this info without signing into specific accounts

Because it's Google Maps and all your history is stored against your account, not your phone. Hence the need to login.
If you've bought apps you expect to be able to use them in the car don't you?
