I did indeed but I had to fight tooth and nail as many obstacles were put in my way. But it was worth it in the end as the car is a fine piece of kitGaiustenedos wrote: ↑Wed Feb 07, 2024 9:53 am Did you finally get yours your order is about 2 weeks ahead of mine ?

How did you get a delivery date? Did the dealer just tell you or was it Volvo UK?73bugz wrote: ↑Wed Feb 07, 2024 10:04 pm Glad yours finally turned up GrannyB. Sounds like you had a bit of a run around to get to the final delivery stage and getting your car.
I was informed that the transportation company are hoping to deliver my car to the dealer now between the 13th and 20th Feb. The car isn't in the country apparently at the moment but I am still being reassured the 27th Feb is my expected delivery date. Only time will tell I guess, I am not getting my hopes up though.
I had an update from the dealer. However, with what I was told from my contact at Volvo a couple of weeks ago to what the dealer has told me, I am not feeling that confident the dealer actually knows where the car is. The expected date that the dealer expects to receive the car has now increased. One of them is not relaying the correct information and I know who I am inclined to believe more.ahaywa97 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 07, 2024 11:41 pmHow did you get a delivery date? 25 October, and it was a stock car when I selected it, cancelled my original order which was going to take 30 weeks. I thought this meant I could get it in 4 weeks according to their own estimates.
Sounds like another shambolic process, shock! Is your car coming from Zeebrugge?73bugz wrote: ↑Thu Feb 08, 2024 7:41 amI had an update from the dealer. So you're telling me a *stock car* is going to have taken them 4 months to get to you?!

We were wondering before if stock actually meant in stock? I cancelled and reordered (before the current delays) a car off the web-site indicating a 4 week delivery time and the car did arrive inline with that. But after ordering I received a notification from Volvo saying the car had been built as with my previous order. My feeling is that the cars on the web-site aren't actually in stock (unless cancelled orders?) but just cars further into the production process having being ordered by Volvo UK? Like dealers ordering for their stock before the agency model.
When I ordered there was quite a number of cars available with short delivery times. Last time I looked there weren't many cars available and delivery times were 13 weeks etc. which says to me that the cars aren't in this country even if built.
Just checked again and there's just 10 mild-hybrids available. One at 4 weeks, one at 5 weeks, one at 12 weeks and the others at 4 to 7 months.
