What mats ?

Pick my xc40 up today and looking at maybe some mats to protect against muddy feet. Volvo offical ones good ?

Haven't got them myself but I hear the Volvo rubber ones are very good. I've just got the standard textile ones and they come up well after a vacuum.

Got the rubber one's as part of the towing package. Yes they're good, shaped to fit the footwell, and the clip in in place of the standard one's so if we're away in a muddy field they can be swapped in to keep the interior safe. Likewise the boot liner which keeps the carpet clean.
B4 AWD Inscription , Fusion Red, Blond interior. Drivers Assist, Climate, Tinted rear windows and Towing pack.

Should have a set of genuine ones in (textile) as they came with the car, the rubber ones are supposedly very good, I thought about a set, but to be honest, the textile ones were tgat good I never bothered…

Volvo original rubber mats are the best. Besides the perfect fit, the rubber material doesn’t smell whatsoever. Stay away from those cheap offerings on Amazon, many of those will leave a horrible smell in the car.

My C40 came with two sets...
> a textile carpet set, slightly ribbed texture - quite thin but holding up OK so far
> a set of flexible plastic ones, with a 'steelplate' (Durbar) pattern and textile trim around the edge - these are the same shape as the carpet ones, no additional protection from raised sides so not exactly what i'd call winter mats

We’ve used the Volvo rubber mats for a couple of years. Stand up well to muddy walking boots. They’ve been great and are easy to remove to clean - just a quick scrub and hose down.

How do I tell rubber mats from the plastic ones ? Does anyone have a genuine rubber mat link at all please ?
