Just thought I would drop in as the wife as just left a deposit on an XC40. Her 3rd Volvo after a C30 and a V40 cross country which she ran till 162,000 miles.
Been in the trade myself I sorted the deal with Volvo Worcester, whom so far have been great.
So what have we gone for… it’s a D3 Inscription 69 reg, done just 22k miles with a full Volvo history. It seems less desirable than the r line but the wife loves full leather and she loves the car.
We took out some expressive Volvo finance to get 2 year warranty and 2 free services. I think we will move this to lower rate. However I will wait for till do this so the dealer doesn’t get a debit back for commission.

Link doesn’t work to car but what I can tell you about apple car play is to shop around various Volvo dealers. Did hear last year of one dealer fitting it for £250 when it was £300 at most dealers. Not seen anywhere else that fits it but surely in this day and age a good car entertainment shop should be able to sort.

lovely looking car that...i can see why your wife has chosen it.
i rule the day that Volvo stopped fitting the chrome exhaust pipes as my first R Design had them...and the chrome flappy paddles...i didn't use them but made the steering wheel look so much nicer.I feel Volvo are making little savings here and there that set them above other manufacturers and hope they don't get too carried away.

I'm going to miss the exhaust outlets and other details and the flappy paddles, which I use quite a lot. Also I prefer the look of the front foglights on the earlier models.

Volvo’s Apple CarPlay module is wired only on the Sensus equipped models, not sure if wireless is available on the newer android ones ?

It isn’t wireless yet. It has been promised for ages. Personally I find the AAOS so good that there really isn’t any need for CarPlay
