I've been running with a Vodaphone Sim for the last two years, it is still working.

Mind you, setting up the SIM is a hard work. There are instructions on this site somewhere.
Ordered 24th February 2018: XC40, FE, T5, Crystal White, Lava Interior (additional black carpets), 19" wheels, mud flaps, Tow Bar, Polestar, was expected June/July, then 1st October.
Finally took delivery on 16th October 2018. 8-)

Well strangely I got in the car this afternoon and it’s now connecting to internet. I’ve changed absolutely nothing.
Wonder how long it’ll last

It’s weird the modem is not 4G enabled in the UK. In many EU countries Sensus Connect modem works on 4G.

I agree. Sounds like an easy answer from Volvo to get rid of the question imo

I also think the answer given to Snow man was BS. 4G is a 15 years old technology used by every mobile operator in the UK, why would Volvo leave it out from a piece of hardware that’s already capable of running it?

I did try the Videophone sim today, what a faff, the car still could not see the sim,nor a O2 one I bought to put in an old phone, which works in the phone,I am going to let the dealer have a look but probably easier to just use data off the phone, maybe it's the antenna ,maybe is gremlins with a bit of St El mos fire 🔥
