Hi there, I have 2024 XC40 B4 FWD. Front tyres need changed after 14k miles. I've Continental Eco Contact 6s.

£171 each fully fitted on black circles.

What have other people got on theres? Should I just go like for like or go more budget? Any recommendations?

Had quite a lot of drift with accelerating when I first got the car which has settled as the tyres have worn in.

Thanks

There's been criticism of those tyres on here. If it was me I'd get a complete new set. I've had/got 18" rims on mine and have been very happy with the Michelin Primacy that both came fitted with.

The eco contact 6 is the worst tyre I've ever had on a car so would say anything but them. So bad I tried to get Volvo to change them on my new car but they didn't want to know.

My car was also factory fitted with Conti EcoContact 6 (18” rims) and I was not happy with them. Changed with Michelin Primacy 4, after 30k miles there’re still in good condition. When time comes, I will change them with Continental Premium Contact 7.

I changed my EcoContact 6 for Michelin Pilot Sport 4 SUVs and I’m very happy with them.

I changed from Primacy 4 to cross climate 2 on all tyres as have heard that primacy 4 are not very good in winter! Fitted 104H to get the 'A' rolling resistance. Must say they worked brilliantly in a muddy field towing 1.5 tonne caravan!

Michelin tyres for me.
Cros climates are worth looking at also if you fancy all season tyres

I've just completed 33,000 miles on PZero's and there was still some tread left, but not confident they would last a winter up here in the North East. So today I changed them for a set of CrossClimate 2 SUVs (245/45 R20). Black Circle were offering 15% off and Michelin offered £100 cashback to subscribers. All in all, a total discount of £264 off 4 tyres!

Another vote for primacy. Fronts lasted around 23 k miles, rears still healthy at 30 k. (AWD)

AEleven, I'd be interested to know how the CC2s feel compared to the PZ4s.
