While I’m delighted to receive OTA software updates from Volvo, I am curious as to why, when the update is released on the app, we have to wait three weeks for it to become available to download to the car.
The latest is 3.2.4 released on the 19th August and available to download in three weeks !
Has anyone worked out the rationale behind this delay ?

Android and AAOS updates are rolling slower, unlike Apple’s iOS, which are available instantly.
I’m also waiting to download the promised 3.2.4…

They probably release to a limited number of vehicles in the first couple of weeks, gives owners time to point out the errors before it goes to the wider audience.
I did get one update well within three weeks, the last one was almost a month.

I think you’re probably right regarding the Volvo server.

It's been 3 weeks since the notification so I wonder if some issues have been found and they've pulled it? Anyone else seen anything on other forums? I was upgraded to 3.2.5 after a support call out. The main improvement I noticed was the fuel consumption figure is now correct. Otherwise the trailer lamp check function is still intermittent, worked the first time and not the second, I'll be hitching up again in a couple of days so perhaps 3rd time lucky? The CarPlay integration doesn't seem to be 100% anymore, pressing the home button and then selecting the phone results in a Bluetooth not connected message when the phone is actually connected via a cable which disables the Bluetooth. Going through settings, airplay works. Again this is intermittent for me. Otherwise no major glitches so far just the usual Volvo inconsistencies.
