I've turned off auto download and wait a few weeks to see what happens before I commit.

Turning Off Auto Update only stops the AAOS OTA updates. It doesn't stop the App updates or Google Maps and quite probably other stuff! So personally I let mine update as and when it's available.

Sincere thanks for your reaction, gentlemen. Rebooting the Head Unit seems to have done the trick. It’s all back to normal : the Volvo Cars app now shows the car where it actually is, and the XC 60 at startup is gone.

Reboot the modem too.

By the way, the wrong location shown was/is a parking in the Zeebrugge (B) port area, where Volvo Cars sometimes stocks cars awaiting shipment to UK. Pure coincidence ? Hard to believe…..

Still, my wife’s ex-car, the Volvo XC40 in question, never had anything to do with the UK : at the time, it was delivered freshly assembled straight from the Volvo Cars plant in Oostakker Ghent to a Belgian Volvo dealer.

Strange things happen……..

Exciting news about the release of v3.1.9! I'm curious to see what new features or improvements there will be. Hopefully there will be some helpful upgrades or bug fixes. Can't wait to try it!

3.19 has been out for months, aren't we waiting on the now what appears to be abandoned 3.24 which was/wasn't released at the end of August?

I’m having issues my new car and app not syncing. I have deleted the app so we will see if that does the trick?

Button below Central Display, hold down until display goes completely black. Wait a few minutes for it to fully restart then reboot the modem by pressing and holding the Front Screen Heater button until the overhead SoS button Flashes Red.
