XC40 Configuration MY25 Changes?

Yes, I was just looking at the price out of interest to see how it compared with mine. Can't get close as I got the Loyalty Bonus, Volvos discount and the service package and a good residual value. Would have been nice if I could have avoided the luxury tax and higher VED though. I did check with my dealer at the time but as we know it's based on the retail price and on the web-site it was already discounted, as it appears it is now.

A supposed advantage of agency is that prices are transparent but it seems a bit smoke and mirrors to me!

Gripross - looks like it was good that you got your Ultimate when you did as some of the high gloss black on the exterior has gone - roof rails (now bright aluminium), some of the side window trim (now chrome), radiator surround (now bright aluminium) and door mirrors (now body colour).

I’m glad I got mine when I did then as never been a fan of the bright chrome/ silver and the black gloss does work with the vapour grey. It could possibly have been a deal breaker

You can still change to the dark finish as a no cost option on the Ultra, the Plus comes with dark as standard.

Mine is coming up to 3 years old so I may have been tempted if it wasn't for lack of AWD and the experience you've all had with AAOS. AWD in particular I need to use the caravan in adverse sites. Many times in the past it's been needed both with this car and the prior Tiguan.

AAOS is fine for me, but I do miss AWD. Seems in their infinite wisdom they decided we don't need AWD and instead more intrusive "Driver Aids"....

Intelligent speed assist? It's a requirement by EU law but yeah, they still could have delayed that "feature".

When I come to change my car I shall be looking at the driver "aids" in a lot more detail!

Like it or not we have to live with driver aids, coz they ain’t going anywhere. You will be hard pushed to find a new vehicle these days, where they are not overtly intrusive. As JFDIT suggests, going backwards maybe the answer, in buying a 10 year old car.
