Here’s an online tool to compare sidewall between different tire sizes: https://tiresize.com/calculator/.
I always choose wheels with at least 4” tire sidewall and I think the 20” wheel on XC40 with its 4.3” sidewall tire can handle potholes.

That's a handy site, quicker than me with a calculator!
Yes, they definitely handle potholes OK. And being a touch wider helps.

And still only 3 year warranty, which is a concern when reading on a separate thread an extended warranty is over £500 for just 12 months

Thanks for that. I did look for one yesterday but didn't find the 2025 MY. As JFDIT says, the Ultra is available in Bright and Dark schemes. I'd gone off reading through the specifications on the web-site but didn't configure the Ultra.

I did configure a Plus though which is stated as having a £4k. finance contribution. Did it for 0% over 3 years. B4 with no extras. I'm confused by the finance calculation though as it doesn't appear to be taking the full £4k. off?

Actually, checking that again, it seems whilst the Core and Ultra remain the same price, the Plus is a little cheaper, despite the extras that used to be costly options. I wonder if the B4 Plus can now sneak in under the luxury car tax? And the CO2 ratings have changed very slightly! Normally bigger wheels slightly reduce economy, but again, this might have tax implications (although they are very minor, so probably not...). But this is a price list found through a Google search, so it might be a draft.

The pricing on the website is not clear in my opinion. The prices shown are already below list, so is the £4000 reduction off that shown on the website, or off the RRP from the price-list, or some other calculation? Or perhaps the price is wrong on that new price-list. Who knows?

I don't know why I'm so concerned, given that I've already got mine, and I'm pretty happy with it! As discussed above, I prefer smaller wheels with more rubber, I'm happy enough with the seat fabric, and whilst it would have been nice to have the additional safety features, I really like the 360 camera.

These new models also have lots of speed warning beeps/interference, that needs to be turned off every time you start the car if you so desire. Obviously, I never speed, so it wouldn't bother me...

Actually, according to that new price list (if true) both Plus models do fall into a cheaper tax bracket, and attract a lower initial tax rate! So they're quite a good upgrade from last year, and cheaper both in terms of RRP and tax!

Reading through the instructions I think the £4k finance reduction is activated when you actually checkout.

Yes, I've just tried this - you can get £4000 off the on-the-road price with a 0% loan and a 50% deposit. Works out very slightly cheaper than when I bought mine in November, but it's a long wait!
