"left indicator malfunction" A couple of days ago I started getting these messages fairly frequently. I checked operation of the indicators but everything looks OK. Now realise the message seems to get generated when running lights start turning on and off at will! Has anyone else experienced this?Car coming up to two years old. Thought at first it was a software glitch but now not sure!

I have this as well:
- it‘s intermittent
- mostly at first use while using Auto Pilot Assist
- message will disappear after 2nd use if indicator
my best guess is it is a software timing issue on the bus: because the computer is under load probably the message of the indicator got processed some milliseconds to late.

Just take it to a dealer. That’s what you have a warranty for

Also, worth taking a photo of the error message, so you can show the dealership the issue

Dealer ordered and fitted new headlight control module under warranty. Problem sorted!

Do you know where that module is located?

It's happened a small number of times on my 2 week old car including again today.

I was watching the workshop through the glass and it looked as if the "mechanic" was taking out a module from the rear of the whole left hand headlamp unit and then fitting a new one in - seemed like a straightforward swap. There is a follow up because subsequently there was a problem with the bendy headlights not bending but a reinstallation of the relevant software has sorted the problem - neither I or the "mechanic" had an understanding of that second problem or how it got sorted!

Thanks John. I'll leave it for now as it is only happening now and then and after some rapid indicating and the message it sorts itself out. Also the dealer isn't local.
