After two XC60 over the last 14 years, I've picked up a new xc40 10 days ago. B3 plus model. loving the drive and comfort. Lots of great features on it.

Before Volvo, I had 3 SAAB 95 estates

Welcome and pleased to hear that you are enjoying your B3 plus. I have the same model and after 7 weeks I am also similarly impressed. Have been driving for 50 years and owned BMW, Audi, Skoda, Hyundai and one previous Volvo. This car is a pleasure to drive.

Previously had a 850 t5 then v70 t5.
Now 76 so now a more sensible return to Volvo.
Ordered car late Feb in Fjord blue. Problem is dealer still unable to give an estimated delivery date. Does anyone have an idea if this car might be delivered before Christmas?

Nah, you'll get your new car before long. Three to four months is nothing out of the ordinary.

Mine is the same MY24 23w51 B3 Plus, minus BLIS (unavailable on my market even on Ultimate trim).
Which engine(s) have you had on previous XC60 cars? And how do you perceive the B3 power after XC60?

We ordered an XC40 in February. According to the Volvo app it will be built on May 13th, and delivery is estimated in July. We're hoping that doesn't change.

Sure, make sure you know your Volvo ID and password. My dealer initially set up mine when I ordered the car. Note - I changed my password after as a good security measure. Then, download the Volvo Car ("Volvo Cars") app from your respective app store and log-in. The app should detect automatically that you have an order, and show you the order number, the various steps of that order and the status.

Initially, the above didn't work. So I logged a bug through the Google Play store. Volvo support got in touch to understand the issue and then it was fixed.

I'm intrigued as to whether our car does actually get built in May but fingers crossed. Hope your car is on its way to you soon.

Also, not sure if it's relevant to you but Volvo also got in touch, just before the production date became visible and informed me that our car would be manufactured as a MY25 - this meant we lost the 360 camera we thought we was getting on the Plus model, but gained 19 inch wheels, the higher level seats trim and blind spot indicator. They asked if that was OK, we agreed - actually was really happy with that.

Thanks for this Gavin. Just clarified my problem from your message. My car is a Motability car which is then leased to me through the scheme. So I doubt I’ll be able to track car.
As an aside I originally had an order in for a my24 car but changed it to my25 as I really wanted blis. Added to that the other spec upgrades were a bonus.
I’ll just need to be patient and await call from dealer.

It's poor really that Volvo keep changing the specs even though for some it suits. For me I'd rather have the 360 deg camera which mine has.

Wouldn't be so bad if you could add things as extras but as we know they are very limited now and we can't choose what we want. We are at the whim of Volvo UK who think they know what we want!
