Full size spare wheel (18")

I know there was a discussion about the sizes of the temporary spare and full size wheels but I am more interested to know if anyone has actually tried to fit an 18" wheel into the spare wheel pan.

The temp spare will be on a smaller rim - 16 or 17” - but with a high profile tyre such that the rolling diameter is the same as the normal road wheels. The well isn’t deep enough for a full size spare to fir.

This topic was covered a few months back. Do a search for the thread. My factory fitted space saver has a diameter 4" smaller than the standard wheel.
