I've settled for the heavier feel. But as you say it's not a "drivers" car.

At least it's speed sensitive and once weighted up doesn't feel too bad.

Did you fix your alarm light blinking constantly when driving ? I have a 6 week old xc40 and have same issue ,

Yes, he removed the coffee machine from behind the front seat! :D

Downside is he can't have a cappuccino on the go now...

I have a MY23 Recharge Plus and have the same flashing light problem.
It must be related to the software update, as it started the day after I let the car do its update.

I’m going to stick some duct tape over the light if it starts annoying me - going to a dealer isn’t an option as I’ll be driving it to and from one of our more remote offices (in the dark) for the next few days.

There’s no coffee machine in any of the footwells, nor any other obstruction so the connector theory doesn’t apply in this case.

Upon getting in the car this morning I saw the Volvo logo on the display and since then the fault seems to have cleared.

My MY24 XC40 Recharge has today started flashing the Alarm LED every second all the time like the other folk in this thread. Has anyone any information as to why this happens as I haven't had anything in the rear footwell or a recent software update that I can blame it on.

I saw the Volvo logo in the drivers display when doing the reboots this morning so it might be worth a try.
