Stovo - are you viewing on a phone? On my tablet it's clear that it's bright light reflecting off the black strut.

No, I can clearly see your strut is black, like mine, it was Eugene1 I was querying his strut being chrome in colour.

So, have had another look, it’s definitely metal and not plastic, it looks pretty much identical to Chris’s replacement struts, although the middle seal does appear, it’s black not chrome. So is it the new design?

Check the seal that connects the sliding parts. If it’s like in Chris’ picture then you have the new design. If it’s like in my picture (see below) then you have the old design. The seal in my picture is not chrome, it’s black plastic.

Based on these pictures my comparison between old and new design seems wrong. I’m lost, nice “curved ball” Stovo.

Seriously, just checked my car and they are the same. The ones on my previous car are the different ones having the shorter plastic cover at the sliding part. Either the design was changed again or possibly another supplier?

I think the latter as mine were replaced after Stovos and yet his are like the latest design.
