Chris John, No, I've never changed them. However, each strut has a ball joint at each end secured with a spring clip. Removal of a rubber bung provides access to the wiring connector. Simple plug n play. Reckon even a Halfords spotty yoof could manage it.

If they're not prepared to make a contribution to the replacement cost I'd take it to any garage to have new ones fitted. Or do it yourself, pretty simple job.
You can buy the replacement struts for the cost of the diagnosis.

Because it's Google Maps and all your history is stored against your account, not your phone. Hence the need to login.

Mine works exactly as gedger described. Assuming you are correctly logged into your Google account on both devices then it's worth checking your Privacy Settings. Have a look in the App under Account. They are all best set to ON. If any are OFF then you have to update them in the Vehicle not the App...

Mine doesn't do that, clearly an issue with yours.
