On a wider point, modern cars are so reliable now. They are only let down by poor infotainment technology. This is after three cars (VW and Volvo) where software proved to be their Achilles Heel.
Not sure I agree with that ...

Re: Software update

Read today that 3.4.4 has been cancelled as an OTA update. Still being done by dealers.

Re: Jump Start Pack

Thanks JFDIT, that is a lot of useful information.

Just leaves me wondering how the rest of us mild hybrid drivers get the software update?

Re: Jump Start Pack

Has there really been that many instances of XC40's not starting because of just a flat battery? I think the problem with Volvos (and other cars) is they never really stop taking power from the 12V battery. If I walk round my car after it has been parked for days, and has went to sleep and shows as...

When the car is unlocked it draws a fair bit of current which causes some volt drop across the battery etc. To get an ac...

Re: 12v Charging Issue

I wonder if you only get software updates for some things if there is an issue?

Up till now I thought the OTA updates kept most things up to date, and the dealer would update anything else at the annual service.

Either way, hope that is your car fixed now and no further issues.

Re: 12v Charging Issue

Car being delivered back tomorrow. They reckon it's a known code error, affecting the 48v system, that can cause the 12v battery to drain overnight. It's had the full dealer software upgrade and all associated physical components are working correctly, allegedly... The service manager reckons if th...
