Re: Volvo Skid Plate Kit fitting
Are you purchasing a new kit from Volvo or a secondhand one? The price of the new kit includes fitting.

Re: Road speed signs display
Completely agree. Speed limit signs are hopeless. However it's not just Volvo. Our sons Ioniq 5 makes has the same errors as the Volvo. It appears it's not just the camera getting confused but also the underlying database. Doesn't bode well for full autonomous driving.

Re: Car choices on a budget?
There have been many reports of premature clutch failure on the T3 with a manual gearbox. Might be worth sticking to auto boxes with that engine. A rear view camera can be retrofitted to most (not sure about the 360 but I would doubt it). The later AAOS cars cant have a camera retrofitted. Many vehi...

Re: ceramic coating
We had supaguard on the wife's SLK when it was new in 2005. It lasted 10 years before needing polishing again. Now using Autoglym products on it and the finish remains glass like. The XC40 was done with Autoglym Lifeshine when new. Now 2 yers old and beading like new. Really ease to clean. The dirt ...

Re: Warning displays that don't show on the manual?
Ours went off once on a dual carriageway. Road appeared clear but a plastic traffic cone thrown up by a machine mowing the grass verge slammed into the car a fraction of a second later. Fortunately no damage done. The system is clearly very sensitive but I guess if it wasn't then people would compla...

Re: Bristol port delay
They may say that but it’s not true. DVLA issues an age related number when you take off personal plate. It’s simpler if it has been registered but it isn’t essential.

Re: Bird Muck
I have used something called Finesse. I think it’s by 3M. It’s only available to body shops but you can find it on eBay. Worked wonders on ours.

Re: Bristol port delay
Daughter has now had it confirmed that they are honouring the original deal. Small issue in that Volvo have gone ahead and registered it despite being told that she was transferring her private plate onto it. Not a big issue but just more hassle. Should be collecting it next week.

Re: Bristol port delay
Daughter's car has arrived at the dealer. It does have the correct interior this time. However as suspected they seem unaware of the deal they are supposed to honour. Lots of " I will have to speak to my manager". She has already told them that she will walk away if they dont honour it. Da...

Re: Insurance Renewals
It's also happening with health cover. Our premium last year was £2,800, full cover for a couple in their late 60s. Renewal £4400! Roughly 57% more. A couple of phone calls brought it down to £3300 with the same provider to match the best quote we could get elsewhere.
