Re: Snows Volvo Southampton
Yes I had one of those emailed but not an invoice with the items used on The car has a service plan I’ll give them a call This could be why you’ve not had an invoice. I’ve not had my first Volvo Scheduled Service yet, but with other manufacturers and service plans I’ve been given paperwork for heal...

Re: Boot Floor Handle Part Number
You might try 31675525.
The line drawings I can find show what looks like a door handle, but the various hits describe it as a boot floor handle. I can't find any listings with a photo.
(And my car doesn't have that handle, so I can't compare anything).

Re: B4 Reduced Performance
It's certainly not an unknown issue. Various similar reports on the forum.
I described my issue in the posts here:
viewtopic.php?t=3924
Since spark plug replacement I've had no further recurrence (fingers crossed!)

Re: Update Fuel economy / Sat Nav..
Re avoiding toll roads; https://www.xc40forum.com/threads/can-you-ask-google-to-navigate-avoiding-tolls.5533/ From previous postings, it would appear it's a Sensus system, not Google.. Like many items on the Sensus, the setting is there, but it isn't that intuitive to find it. The avoidance setting...

Re: Sensus Map 1380 now available...
I've had reason to do a full map update (as opposed to the regional variety) once in the past on advice from my servicing garage as part of attempting to clear a stalled update (it didn't, but that's another story). Unlike the regional update where the Nav system remains available throughout, the sy...

Re: Tortoise mode and possible lost cylinder
...had this for a short period before the last service. Ignition on/off reset it. I informed my servicing garage, and said it would be in before the booked service a week ahead if it recurred, but if not I wanted to make sure it had all codes read. It didn't recur before that service, and there were...

Re: Gearbox Fault
The specs I have for the 2021 MY indicate that the "T" series were fitted with the AWF8G30 box, and the "B" series with the AWF8G45 (in both FWD and AWD guise, the latter with a "bolt-on" transfer box). I think the difference reflects the significant uplift in maximum t...

Re: map update 1436 xc40 2020
You'll have a Sensus car, so:
Swipe left to right on the centre display
Download Centre
Maps
Select the map segment you want to check.
That will show you the currently installed version (it shows the currently installed version even if it has advised you of an update)

Re: Standalone renewal of OnCall Subscription
I think (hope) that is poor wording, and applies only to the circumstance where you renew yourself in advance (i.e. assurance that you can renew early without resetting the date), rather than that where you have (to have) a dealer re-awaken the subscriptions after expiry. (Just think of a s/h car fo...

Re: Standalone renewal of OnCall Subscription
I'm pretty sure that the information on renewal says that you can renew in advance of expiry (via the app or online), but if you let it expire then the subscription needs subsequently to be reactivated by a dealer. ...and that seems to be confirmed by: https://www.volvocars.com/uk/support/topics/art...
