We love our UK spec XC40, BUT the heater and the sat nav are very disappointing.
Our 17 year old MX5 heater is far far superior.
Glad we opted for CarPlay and use Waze, and glad we opted for heated seats and steering wheel to compensate. (Wife has to put a coat over her knee’s to keep warm)

Having to change from comfort to individual mode every time I start the car.

Also worst sat nav I have ever used, Aygo system is better than this Volvo setup.
I always use Waze on pain.

I don’t use it, I hate that it does not show zoom in detail of roads and junctions like Waze and every other system I have used. Love that you can plot and send routes to the car, but it’s slow to refresh and lags behind on real time use. Car is going in for first service, perhaps it will get upgrad...

My radio stops playing when I connect my phone with Apple Play usb.

I have found that you need to lift your foot off the brake Peddle very slowly and the engine remains off. Then when you touch the throttle, it auto starts up and away you go!

When i connect my iphone 7 to Apple play (via USB), i have noticed that it turns off DAB radio sound.
The only quick way i can get the radio sound back is to say “DAB” using the steering wheel voice control button.
Has anyone else found this?

Forgive me for stating the obvious, but if I connect the car to my house Wi-fi, why can’t it download maps directly to the car.
And why can’t the car stay connected to the Wi-fi while downloading maps if it needs to?
