I have the same problem with mine, model year late 2021. I tried hoovering on a max power setting and it still had those tiny shards in it. Ive since removed it, dont need the kids getting splinters etc.
Disappointing!

Re: Odd smell and damage to engine sound proofing foam
Thanks for the input folks. The car was just in for its first service & i asked the mechanic to have a look at damage to the foam. He said it was rodent damage, most likely marten. Apparently they see a fair bit of this damage on cars in the suburbs of geneva. The smell - which lasted only a day...

Odd smell and damage to engine sound proofing foam
Folks, An odd one that maybe someone can give me a steer on. I have a MY22 T3 Manual which has given me no trouble to date. UK RHD but currently based out of Switzerland, which may be relevant. Doing the school run today, I had a relative drive the car as they will be doing the pickups next week whi...

That looks like a flaw in the assembly, the fabric on mine is tucked away.

Re: Pilot assist in crawling traffic - your opinion?
The Momentum spec comes with textile/canvas seats. & you can add a fair bit of the missing features back in as extras...DanishPastry wrote: āSun Sep 20, 2020 8:45 pm Also it forces either R-Design (I *hate* 'privacy glass') or Inscription (I dislike leather seats).

Re: Pilot assist in crawling traffic - your opinion?
Agree with all the points points above, ACC is not fully functional with a manual gearbox and your money would be better spent on other options packages. Iām obviously bucking the general wisdom but I still prefer a manual shift myself - work car is automatic, personal is manual. I do fully see the ...

Re: MY21 T4 and T5 R-design availability
I've ordered a MY21 XC40 T5 Inscription in Germany. Which is the PHEV. If I wanted to order the petrol one, I would need to order the B5 as mild-hybrid. The T# identification is used across both pure petrol and PHEV options. So you can have a T5 pure petrol or the twin engine option comprised of T5...

Re: MY21 T4 and T5 R-design availability
I am in a similar situation. AFAIK, MY21 actually refers to the specs that have been in use for most of 2020, I.E. the T3, T4 & T5 engines. So if your dealer insisted you are getting a MY21, that means its from the current range of specs/builds, which includes the various T# pure petrol/non hybr...

Re: Amber or Charcoal interior?
Cheers Bernard, I'm in Switzerland but buying from an Irish dealer - I will be permanently returning to IE in a few years & local dealers do not supply RHD options. Just heard back from the dealer today to confirm Amber is not an available option on the R-Design, so that settles the argument and...
