I had the MOT and the CO emission was 0.00%. In all my previous cars (all petrol), there has always been a tiny amount of CO emission but below the accepted level, so it was a nice surprise to see that. I never use engine cleaners but have always used the highest Octane petrol available and usually avoid supermarket petrol. It seems to be working. Unless of course their testing device was faulty or not done properly.
Has anyone else noticed a similar result?

A T4 AWD will emit around 160-180g/km of Co2. The MOT is looking for excess of 0.2% to fail. The fact that it printed out 0.00% is of no relevance and does not mean your T4 is no longer emitting Co2, only an EV will do that - its just registering a pass and good to go.

I didn't say Co2, I said Co (carbon monoxide). Who would have thought EV does not emit Co2 :?:

Sorry my mistake. An ICE will always emit carbon monoxide as its a bi-product of combustion, so it can't be zero, though it does sound like your ICE internals are in excellent condition.

It was probably me not explaining it well.

I just wondered if this actually is normal or a good sign for these engines provided that they did the test correctly.

MOT equipment has to be calibrated regularly and they would have done the test correctly. It really is an indication that your car's ICE internals are in excellent condition.

My 30 year old Mazda MX-5 also tests at 0.00% CO every year, so I don't think it means too much!

They still charge me silly money to tax it though.
